According to NASA, “the distance between the sun and the Earth is 150 million kilometres. It would take an airliner more than 20 years to fly that distance — and that’s just a one-way ticket. That’s travelling at about 400 mph or 644 kilometres per hour.”
Yet, that sun looks like a small round dot of light in the sky. And it is bigger than the earth. Imagine that!
The sun plays many roles within the ecosystem, one of which is providing us with light. We also receive heat and energy from this celestial body.
Sometimes, the sun feels intensely scorching, like it would singe a person’s skin. Yet God is so mindful of giving the earth the beautiful sun and its benefits.
This knowledge of God’s creation reminds me to gaze at the maker of the Heavens and the earth as David did and sing in wonder,
“Lord, how mindful you are to think of me.”
Praise to the one who loads us with benefits.
Have a beautiful morning and thank God for the sun 😉 😁 💃
