Several years ago, a woman encouraged me to write more – to express my faith and love for God – heartfelt/intimate poems and songs (for and to the Lord) as I spent time with Him in the mornings. As of that time, I had many poems that felt “intimate” in my analysis, so why write more? However, I took her counsel and began doing it. Now I believe the Lord had prompted her heart to deliver that message to me because some poems I write these days come from a personal revelation of who God is. You can read a longer version of this short poem I’m sharing today.
May today’s short poem stir up your heart to “worship” God always and see Him as He really is.

Who is the Lord to you?
He is my everything. He is my instructor
Saviour. Helper. King and creator
The Message, the One I seek.
My Shepherd. My Messiah. Redeemer
The one I choose to live for
A source of existence. My God…
