Inside story on Paulina’s Thorns

Writer’s note

“These stories are faith boosters for our day.”

The stories in the Bible were about real people going through life’s situations. The only difference between them and us is they lived centuries ago and in a different culture. They were needy, afraid, troubled, exhausted, and alone, constantly faced with crises, difficulties, and hardships that seemed unending. For instance, there was a woman bent over for eighteen years, another one was bleeding for twelve years; there were the blind, crippled, stressed, and burnt out, hungry and thirsty, and more, all faced with troubles.

When they each met with the Messiah, their lives were never the same. He did not only heal many, he saved and delivered them from oppressions and bondages, giving them new life in Him.

In this collection, we will rediscover Mary Magdalene, Jairus, Blind Bartimaeus and others as trials, pains, and sicknesses push each character to the Messiah’s feet. They each believe that His touch, words of comfort and healing will change their lives, but some will oppose the Messiah.

This collection is not written to debunk or add anything to the original accounts in the Bible. But I have written it to depict how it would have felt to encounter the Messiah today.  I have tried to make every story relatable to us, using today’s language and settings. I created the conversations and settings to bring the stories to life.

I believe every story will evoke and stir up faith in our hearts to keep believing in the One who walked the earth and did mighty things, works that are unfathomable to the human mind except we believe them by faith.

This collection will stir up faith in the hearts of people who need to believe again.

Dive into an intriguing world of men and women as they encounter the Messiah in twelve standalone faith stories.
