Sometimes, I find my thoughts wandering in every direction. Too often, those thoughts are selfish and wicked, and if I let them, they’d form my actions and will – make me act foolish.
Some people do not believe we still exert our wills. Some say our will is already in Christ.
This isn’t to argue with any schools of thought or beliefs, but I daresay that Christ’s will is not for us to live to satisfy any iota of fleshy wills and thoughts. We must continue to contend and fight against the flesh because it does wage war against our spirit.
The flesh seeks to exert authority over us, and ours is to continue to ask press into God, not to allow the flesh to have its way. The more we press in, the more we do the bidding of the Spirit of truth (God).

His will, not yours
give up your strength,
lie at His feet
Your everything lay at the altar
Every selfish desire
burnt down to ash
Lay down soulish demands
let go of self and pride,
drop in a heap, your dead logs
rise and live
as He wills.
Let go of the control pads
embrace his
And ask, let it be done as
He pleases
let it be
at His command,
you’re his servants
to the commander of Heaven’s army.
