Reading about the offerings in the bible, I have learned that the Lord gave instructions to the priest to season the grains/dough with salt. All their offerings had to have the ingredient… Salt.
Jesus, while teaching, said, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.”
Paul also reminded us that our conversations must ALWAYS be full of grace, seasoned with salt.
Truth is, the scriptures reveal that God’s people must stay SALTED. The Lord wants his people to “taste” and “look” like him. Our lives, as we find through several scriptures, must have a heavenly flavour. We cannot say we have Christ and yet we taste bland. Our daily lives should show that we are set apart and salted so that the world can see and testify.
May the words of the poem below bless your heart.

Salted
My life sprinkled with salt
Salted by you, salted with your life
Wet my offering with you, your life
Your millstone crushing within me
turning the coarse me to fine flour
Your Spirit oiling every dry area
making me malleable –
edible
Useable
entering
filling my insides with you, your life
flowing in me, through me.
