Today’s “Wise Wednesday” poem is a sage, and even more so is a teacher’s warning. Take it or leave it, we all need to bridle it, tie it down and hide it behind the white cage.
Tell me, do you know where this advice comes from?
Power
That little fleshy pink within has the power
to create
life and death sits on its tips
As sharp as spikes. It will puncture
But it can mend.
It can write
a million letters per hour
and wipe out thousands of files a second
Salted, full of grace, sprinkling life on its hearer.
Also a fiery,
loose knob, it is
A fire starter,
a little spark, a forest razed down
Yet, a jelly,
precious, and cold as water
poured on a dry, weary land
A gentle answer from it,
a delight to the soul
Lock it in if it’s about to blast a bit more than necessary
Put it to sleep, tie it
use the covers to “purse lips”
Unlock and use it to instruct and give life
That’s the power it has!
What’s yours writing?
